McMenamin

Ms. McMenamin received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism from the University of Illinois, Urbana. After graduation, she worked as managing editor at an international real estate consulting company in Chicago. Moving to Los Angeles, she was employed as the marketing assistant for a well known national firm which provides building cost data. Ms. McMenamin then segued into working as a real estate appraiser trainee at a major lending institution, where she was ultimately promoted to district manager/assistant vice president.

In 1991, Ms. McMenamin became a self-employed real estate appraiser, working for various lenders, attorneys and private individuals. In consecutive years, 1993 and 1994, she was elected the first woman President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers (now known as the Appraisal Institute).

Ms. McMenamin received her Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles and was admitted to the California Bar. She also continues to hold a state certified general appraiser license.

Ms. McMenamin is a member of the American Bar Association. She also has worked as a volunteer to assist domestic violence victims obtain restraining orders. She joined Gaglione & Dolan in 2000. Her practice as an associate with the firm involves the defense of home owners associations, construction contractors, and complaints concerning premises liability and general liability matters. She also defends malpractice claims made against various real estate professionals, including real estate brokers, appraisers, home inspectors, construction inspectors and mold inspectors. Ms. McMenamin has been a speaker at numerous seminars and meetings emphasizing loss prevention and avoidance through sound, professional practices.
